HAUPPAUGE N.Y. (LISN) – Junior Jack Dolson scored the game winning goal in a four point performance as the East Islip Chiefs (3-4) won 9-2 over the West Islip Lions (2-5)

Junior Tierny Recenello scored twice in a three point performance. Freshman Landon Musumeci scored twice for East Islip. 

Senior Patrick O’Shea picked up his second win of the season through five starts for East Islip. Sophomore Tyler Sapoff started in goal for West Islip.

Senior Ciaran Pollard opened the scoring with 10:27 left in the first frame to give West Islip a 1-0 lead. The Lions captain sniped stick side high for his 15th goal of the season. 

Junior Evan LaFata went top shelf to tie the game with the 6:35 remaining in 1st period. 

Musumeci scored a breakaway goal to put East Islip up 2-1 with 2:11 left in the opening period.  

Dolson scored the game winner for the Chiefs with 12:49 to go in the 2nd period. The EI alternate captain sniped glove side high on a shot from the slot for his fifth of the season. 

Junior Logan Barton scored his fourth of the season with 5:43 remaining in the second stanza to make it 4-1 Chiefs. 

Under a minute later, Freshman Jack Fontaine scored his third of the season. Fontaine completed the tic-tac-toe play from the back door with Dolson and Recenello picking up assists. 

Musumeci scored his fourth of the season with 8:23 left in the 3rd period to make it 6-1. 

Recenello scored his first of the night on a shot from the slot with 3:38 remaining in regulation. 

45 seconds later, Recenello potted his third of the season. The junior forward banked it off the goaltender from beneath the goal line. 

20 seconds later Senior Anthony Isopo scored his first career varsity goal to make it 8-2. Isopo took a shot from the point that deflected off a defender and past O’Shea

19 seconds later, Junior Alex Carino scored his first of the season. The EI captain rifled a shot that ricocheted off Sapoff and into the net for the Chiefs ninth goal of the game.
