Wings Knock Sailors Overboard 

Bobby Seaman scored the eventual Game Winning Goal for the Wings with 11:14 remaining in the second period. PJ Tursi made 24 saves in his third win in as many starts. Christian Hubert made 22 saves on the night for Oceanside. With under two minutes remaining, the Sailors nearly made it a one score game. A goalie interference call took what would’ve been the third goal by the Sailors off the board. 

The Wings won by a final score of 4-2. Garden City moved to 4-0 on the season. Oceanside dropped to 3-1. T.J. Salvato opened the scoring for Garden City with 3:13 remaining in the first frame. The Wings held a 1-0 lead after the first fifteen minutes of play.

Lightning struck twice for Garden City in the first minute of the second stanza, when Dziedzic gave his team a two goal lead. Luke Mallor put the Sailors on the board with 12:59 remaining in the frame. The Wings went on the kill after Jeremy Dziedzic was called for interference. Richard Gena committed a holding penalty that brought an end to the Sailors power play. Bobby Seaman scored off the following faceoff. The Wings star lit the lamp for a second time just nine seconds later. Garden City led 4-1 after two periods. 

Luke Mallor scored his second goal of the night with 8:15 remaining in the final frame. With just over a minute remaining, Mic Saglembenni found the back of the net on a Sailors goal that was called back due to goaltender interference. Garden City held on to win 4-2. The Wings win gives them sole possession of first place in their conference. Alex Bedard is on a four game point streak. Bedard has a league leading 18 points on the campaign. Bobby Seaman in on a four game goal streak to start the year. Seaman has a league leading 11 goals and is ranked second in total points with 17 on the season.
