TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (LISN) — Patrick Reilly stopped all 14 shots he faced as Long Beach blanked Valley Stream/Sewanhaka/Lynbrook in a 2-0 victory Wednesday night.
Cody Pichichero and Caleb Kallelis each found the back of the net in the first period.
Long Beach jumped ahead 2-0 in the 1st period behind goals from Pichichero and Kallelis.
Pichichero ripped glove side on a shot from the slot to make it 1-0 at 5:30.
Kallelis buried it from the back door off a cross ice feed from Joe Fennick at 9:25 to make it 2-0.
Patrick Algozzini made 46 saves on 48 shots to keep Valley Stream/Sewanhaka/Lynbrook in the game.
Neither team found the back of the net in the final two periods.
