Hornets Roll Over Eagles 13-1
TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (LISN) — Dean Rosengold netted a hat-trick, the first three goals of his varsity career, to power Half Hollow Hills to a dominant 13-1 victory over Bethpage on Wednesday night.
Jonathan Wheeler recorded a hat-trick and an assist.
Alexander Blesi potted also potted a hat-trick and added an assist.
Maddox Franks made 12 saves on 13 shots for the Hornets.
Brandon Kotapka and Leo Agugliero combined for 46 saves in the loss for the Eagles.
Half Hollow Hills stormed ahead 4-0 in the first period with goals from Wheeler, Blesi, Dylan Lemke, and Josh Mosbacher.
The lead grew to 9-0 in the second period as Blesi, Rosengold, Peter Menexas, and Dylan Reader each found the back of the net.
Bethpage broke through in the third period when Billy Wendel scored a power-play goal at 5:16. The Hornets responded with two goals from Wheeler, sandwiched between tucks from Blesi and Benson Huang to seal the victory.
