Kings Park-Commack picked up their 11th win of the season, moving their record to 11-3-2 and maintaining their second-place position in the standings. Northport-Huntington moved to 7-9-0 with the loss and remained in sixth-place.

Jayson Krauthamer secured his third shutout of the season in goal in the winning effort for the Knights.

Tyler Granelli got the scoring started 8:38 into the first period completing a fantastic give-and-go play with Christian McGrane. Granelli received the puck back in the slot and sniped the puck bar down. John Coyle got the first of his two goals towards the end of the first period by wrapping the puck around the net and bouncing it in off of a defender.

Stefan Hludzinski needed only a minute and 38 seconds into the second period to make it three for the Knights. He found a soft spot in the slot and ripped a shot through the five-hole of King. Coyle’s second goal of the game was buried from in-tight on a quick play in the final three minutes of the middle frame.

In the third period, Kings Park-Commack added three more goals. Ronald Kemly and Michael Salva scored with impressive dangles just outside the crease, completing terrific passing plays for the Knights. The Knights wrapped it up with Coyle dishing it off to Michael DeSaro, who tapped the puck in for his first career varsity goal.
