TOP 10 SCHSHL Forwards – Week 8
Each week LISN uses advanced analytics to break down the top ten forwards in the SCHSHL Varsity Division. Our model factors in everyday statistics such as Goals, Assists and Points to establish a baseline for league play. It then takes into account stats such as Power Play Goals, Shorthanded Goals and Game Winning Goals in order to analyze how a player produces as well as what situations they produce in. We also use our analytics program to track how players perform in wins/losses, when they score in a game as well as a multitude of other factors.
1st Ryan Anatra
East Islip
The EI Captain has scored twenty-three goals through seven games this season. which means he is averaging over a Hatrick per game on the year. Anatra leads the SCHSHL Varsity division with four power play goals on the campaign. He has recorded five Hatricks to date.
2nd Thomas Ivers
East Islip
The EI forward leads the league in assists with 22 and points with 32. He has recorded six power play assists this season with another two short-handed assists. Ivers has recorded two Hatricks this season.
3rd Thomas Konkowski
Sachem
The Sachem Captain has lit the lamp thirteen times this year. He’s scored three short-handed goals and two power play goals this season.
4th Jesse Lemza
Kings Park Commack
Lemza lives for the big moments. He’s scored two Game Winning Goals this season. He found the back of the net twice in a 3-2 against the Bulls. He also assisted on the game winner in week one against the Friars. Lemza has seven goals and ten assists through eight games
5th Ciaran Pollard
West Islip
The West Islip Captain has scored thirteen of his team’s twenty-six goals this season. Ten of them have come at 5 V 5. He has scored two power play goals and one short handed goal. He has sixteen total points this season.
6th Ryan Fleischauer
Connetquot Sayville BBP
Fleischauer scored five goals in the T-Birds first win of the season. He netted the Game Winner in that matchup. Fleischauer has seven goals and six assists this season. More importantly, he’s a one man zone entry machine on a low scoring team in the playoff hunt.
7th Jack McCormick
Ward Melville
Scored the Game Winner in the first game of the season and he hasn’t slowed down since. McCormick has registered a point in all but one contest, with five goals in his last three games. He has six goals and seven assists on the campaign
8th James Schendorf
St. Anthony’s
The former JV Gold Captain was held to just two points in his first four games, but has registered eight points in his last four games. Four of those came in a 5-4 win against Northport Huntington where he scored two goals including the GWG.
9th Brendan Landrigan
Smithtown Hauppauge
The Former JV Captain and Champion has stepped up since the Bulls lost Captain Bobby Trites to injury. He has scored four goals and garnered five assists at 5 V 5 with two key short-handed assists on the season.
10th Joseph Caruso
Northport Huntington
The youngest player in our top ten has scored two Game Winning Goals in Overtime for the Tigers. He assisted on the game tying goal against KPC, and assisted on the second Northport Huntington goal against West Islip. He has four goals and two assists on the season. Caruso has driven possession at a high level this season while playing an elite two-hundred foot game in his rookie season.
