The rookie from Lake Ronkonkoma has been a standout performer for the T-Birds with one goal and three assists through just three games this season. Alexander Clark picked up his third win in four starts this season. Braiden Buccino made his sixth start this season for the West Islip Lions. The T-Birds moved to 5-6 on the season. Alex Barylski buried a rebound off a shot from Brady Hall at 4:31 in the 2nd period to give the T-Birds up by one. The play came off a three on two opportunity led by Paul Wagner, who gained the zone off a give and go at the blue line, made a quick pass to Hall, and Barylski cashed in on the rebound. Less than a minute later, the T-Birds jumped out to a 3-1 lead. Brent Brdey threaded the needle on a cross ice feed to Matt Campagnola, who slid the puck between the legs of the defender before firing a quick shot that beat Buccino. The West Islip Lions made it a one goal game at 1:39 in the 2nd period. The play began when Nicolas Perpall forced a defensive zone turnover in the left wing corner of the T-Birds zone, cut to the net and dropped it off to William Shields who scored off his own rebound. Logan Booth Alam scored to put the T-Birds back up by two with thirty-three seconds remaining in the 2nd period. The goal came after a great zone entry by the speedster, who cut from the left wing of the neutral zone to the top of the right wing dot, where he beat Buccino blocker side high.

Upcoming Schedule

Can The Kids Help Pull Off Another Upset?

The Connetqout Sayville BBP T-Birds will take on the St. Anthony’s Friars on Sunday, December 10th at 7:50 PM. The Friars won round one by a final score of 5-1. Despite their recent surge in the standings, questions remain for the T-Birds. Shane Kirby backstopped his club to a 2-1 win over the Bulls, but the T-Birds were unable to contain the high octane Sachem offense. SCHSHL Fans know you can count on Matt Campagnola, Ryan Fleischauer, and Jack Mercado to bring their A game. Logan Booth Alam and Joseph Villani have been a revelation for this club over their past two games, but the T-Birds future will need to take center stage if they want to win in the present.
