Less than a minute later, Andrew Jozwicki scored his first career SCHSHL goal for the T-Birds on a one timer from the slot assisted by Ricky Guterwill. Jozwicki previously scored at the Varsity level during his tenure with the PatMed Raiders during the 2021-2022 season. With 4:06 remaining in the second period, Eathan Brdey followed through on his own rebound to give the T-Birds a 4-2 lead.

At the start of the third period, Lucas Scolaro scored his second of the game on a rebound that came off a shot by Timothy Brown. Ricky Guterwill scored the fifth and final T-Birds goal of the game on a shot from the slot that beat Sittler short side with 7:14 remaining in the period. Twenty-eight seconds later, Mathew Dann buried a rebound from the backdoor off a shot by Patrick Scali to make it a one score game. The Patriots would pull Sittler in favor of an extra attacker, but the T-Birds fended off the comeback attempt.
