Syosset Scores Ten On Roslyn

BETHPAGE, NY- The Syosset Braves moved to 7-1, and first place after a 10-5 win over Roslyn/E Williston/Carle Place (1-7) on Tuesday night in NYIHSHL Conference I play.

Jake Gagliano made a beautiful move on a 1-on-1 before scoring on the goaltender with 5:13 to go in the first period. Syosset struck first in the game.

Roslyn/E Williston/Carle Place tied the game 1:14 later when Justin Fox made the score 1-1.

Robert Engel tapped in a goal from the crease in the final minute of the first to give Syosset back their lead. Joseph Fanelli made the great pass.

Wesley Sigler scored two goals in the second period a minute apart. At 8:44 and 9:44 of the middle frame, he moved Syosset’s lead to 5-1.

Noah Schor stopped the four-unanswered goal streak by getting Roslyn/E Williston/Carle Place their second of the night with 4:45 left in the second.

Goals for each team from Engel and Jacob Fischer made the score 6-3 after the first two periods.

Fox brought it to a two-goal game just over a minute into the third period before another set of back-to-back goals from Sigler made it 8-4 for Syosset.

Daniel Disque and Eli Werfel added to the Braves lead, bringing Syosset to ten goals on the night.

Schor scored his second goal of the night to end the scoring.

Sam Flax was the winning goaltender.

Syosset takes on Bethpage on Wednesday, also at the Town Of Oyster Bay Skating Center. Puck drop is slated for 7:45 pm.
