The Friars forward gave it right back to O’Doherty who rifled it past Krauthamer. Brady Monteleone drew a shorthanded penalty shot with 4:46 remaining in the frame. Monteleone came in slowly, faked a shot, and went backhand-forehand to extend the Friars lead to two. Defenseman Jack Mancini went coast-to-coast on a 5 on 3 advantage to put the Friars up 4-1. Mancini raced up ice, blew by the defense along the right wing side, and tucked it five-hole.
Forward Tyler Granelli scored a power play goal to make it 4-2 just 1:28 into the 3rd period. Jack Salva made a great second effort on a pass from the slot to Granelli who went stick side high to beat Ulmschneider.
