Landrigan Bros Lead Bulls To Victory

HAUPPAUGE N.Y. (LISN)Senior Brendan Landrigan scored twice in a three point performance to power the Smithtown-Hauppauge Bulls (6-0) to a 6-2 victory over the Ward Melville Patriots (2-5)

Sophomore Aidan Landrigan scored his first career varsity power play goal. Senior Shane Reidy scored his fourth of the season for the Smithtown-Hauppauge Bulls.

Senior Aidan Halliday picked up his fifth win of the season for the Bulls. Junior Max Blasberg started in goal for the Patriots.

Reidy opened the scoring to give Smithtown-Hauppauge a 1-0 lead with 12:27 left in the 1st period. The Bulls center sniped top shelf on a sharp angle shot. 

Aidan Landrigan potted his second of the campaign with 11:00 remaining in the opening frame. 

Brendan Landrigan, the Bulls Captain and older brother of Aidan, made a cross crease feed to his younger brother who buried it in a wide open yet. 

Senior Michael Eilenberger scored his third of the season, his second on the power play, with 6:00 left in the frame to make it a 2-1 game. 

The Patriots alternate captain crashed the net on a three on two and scored from the back door as the goaltender slid left-to-right. 

Senior Jackson Cantalupo scored the eventual game winner with 4:28 remaining in the opening frame. 

Cantalupo sniped top shelf on a shot from the high slot.

Brendan Landrigan went coast-to-coast and scored his seventh of the season with 12:12 left in the second stanza. 

The Patriots captain, Senior Aidan Ayers, scored his fifth of the season with 8:44 remaining in the 2nd period to make it 4-2. 

Brendan Landrigan scored his eighth of the season, an unassisted goal, with 4:57 remaining in the second frame. The Captain sniped glove side high to extend the Bulls lead.  

Junior David Wetzel scored his first of the season with 3:28 left in the 3rd period.

The Smithtown-Hauppauge Bulls (6-0) are set to face off against St. Anthony’s Friars (6-0) on Sunday November 3 at 7:50 p.m. in a battle between the SCHSHL’s last two undefeated teams.

The Ward Melville Patriots (2-5) will look to bounce back against the Kings Park-Commack Knights (5-1) on Wednesday November 6 at 7:50 p.m.
