KPC Stuns St. Anthony’s In 2-1 Victory

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (LISN)Senior Ronny Kemly scored the game-winning goal in the 3rd period to lift the Kings Park/Commack Knights (14-6) to a 2-1 victory over the St. Anthony’s Friars (18-2) on Monday night.

Senior Jesse Lemza had a goal and an assist in the win.

Senior Jayson Krauthamer backstopped KPC to victory.

Junior Jordan Valcich started in net for the Friars.

Junior Zack Sirel opened the scoring at 9:12 of the 1st period, giving the Friars an early lead. Sirel forced a turnover beneath the goal line before lifting the puck up and over Krauthamer.

Lemza buried a rebound off a shot by Senior Franco Justinic to tie the game at 2:03 of the 2nd period.

31 seconds into the 3rd period, Kemly went bar-down to score the game-winning-goal on the power play.

The #2 St. Anthony’s Friars are set to square off against the #7 Ward Melville Patriots on Wednesday, February 12 at 7:50 p.m.

The #4 Kings Park/ Commack Knights will take on the #5 East Islip Chiefs at 9:20 p.m. after the conclusion of Friars V Patriots.
