LONG BEACH, NY- The Wantagh/Seaford/Plainedge Kings shut out the Farmingdale Dalers 6-0 on Sunday night. In Varsity Conference II play, the Kings improve to 7-5 on the season and the Dalers fall to 1-11.

Kings Goaltender Joseph Columbel stopped all 12 shots he faced in the game, earning the shutout.

Jonathan Lent scored the games first two goals, both in the latter portion of the second period. The first came with 4:01 left as a won faceoff led to a slapshot from Lent that he wired directly into the net.

His next goal came with 1:26 to go in the middle frame as a fortunate bounce landed the puck on the stick of Lent right outside the crease. He fired the loose puck into the net.

Collin Kurtzman made it three in the second period for the Kings as he made a nice move into the slot and scored.

Kurtzman wasn’t done as he scored another goal in the third period. It was similar to his earlier goal, but this time his inital shot was stopped and he buried his own rebound.

25 seconds later, a turnover gave Matthew Mulder a dangerous shot chance and he made no mistake, making it 5-0 for the Kings with his first goal of the season.

Ryan Agovino added another goal for the Kings 26 seconds after that one to finish the scoring and make it 6-0. That was three goals in 51 seconds for Wantagh/Seaford/Plainedge.
