HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (LISN)Senior Joe Rocca recorded his first career hat trick as the St. Anthony’s Friars (10-0) won 10-1 over the East Islip Chiefs (5-5).

Senior Vito Sacino scored two goals in just eight seconds, and Senior Brody O’Doherty netted the game-winning goal on the power play.

Senior Dominik Feiler earned his third win of the season between the pipes for St. Anthony’s.

The Friars are a perfect 10-0 at the midway mark of the season.

Senior Patrick O’Shea made his seventh start of the season in goal for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs struck first, taking a 1-0 lead just 59 seconds into the opening period. Junior Tierney Recenello went glove-side high on a shot from the slot, assisted by Juniors Evan LaFata and Jack Dolson.

St. Anthony’s quickly responded with two power-play goals. Rocca tied the game with 2:13 remaining in the first period, redirecting a shot by Junior Zack Sirel past O’Shea for his third goal of the season and first on the power play.

Just 52 seconds into the second period, O’Doherty sniped top shelf for his sixth goal of the season and first on the power play.

Thirteen seconds later, Junior Tommy Azzariti buried his own rebound for his 11th goal of the season.

Senior James Schendorf muscled past two defenders to score his sixth of the year, extending the lead to 4-1 with 11:24 remaining in the second period.

Sacino added to the tally, scoring five-hole with 2:44 left in the frame. Just eight seconds later, Sacino struck again for his second of the night and third of the season to make it 6-1.

Sirel netted a wraparound goal with 13:05 remaining in the 3rd period.

Forty-five seconds later, Rocca scored his second of the night to push the lead to 8-1. He completed his hat trick—and secured his fifth goal of the season—by redirecting a shot from Senior Cormac Terry past O’Shea with 7:03 left in the game.

Junior Mauricio Carrasco Jr. capped off the scoring with his second goal of the campaign. Senior Ryan Leon set up Carrasco with a lead pass for a backdoor tap-in with 5:52 remaining.
