HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., (LISN) – Evan Lafata recorded a hat trick and added an assist to lead East Islip (8-9-0) to a 10-4 victory over Connetquot Sayville (4-13-0) on Monday.
East Islip dominated the 1st period, scoring five goals. Lafata netted two of his three goals in the frame, while Jack Dolson, Tierny Recenello, and Ryan Bradley also scored. Lafata’s second goal came on the power play, putting East Islip firmly in control.
Connetquot Sayville responded in the 2nd period with goals from James Johnson and Ciaran Pollard, but East Islip maintained its momentum. Jack Fontaine scored the game-winning goal early in the period, while Dolson and Peter Marazzito extended the lead.
East Islip closed out the game with three goals in the 3rd period. Lafata completed his hat trick, and Landon Musumeci and Bradley rounded out the scoring.
Dario Baerga started in goal for East Islip, while Reilly Hanley was in net for Connetquot Sayville.
