BETHPAGE, NY- The Bethpage Eagles took an early lead over the Massapequa Chiefs and never looked back. The Eagles won 5-0 and improved to 5-4-0-1 in Varsity Conference I play, with the Chiefs falling to 0-3.

Connor Bergin rifled home a one-timer just 1:58 into the hockey game. Nicholas Morolla made a tremendous pass across to set up the goal.

Marko Lisica sniped a shot on a three-on-one chance as he walked into the slot with just over two minutes to go in the first period. His league-leading 15th goal extended the Eagles lead to 2-0.

No goals were scored in the second period and the next tally came from Joe Corso, who finished a great play in tight from Lisica. The Eagles lead extended to three, 2:43 into the third.

Lisica added two more goals to complete the hat trick and help bring Bethpage to a 5-0 win.

The winning goaltender was Brandon Kotapka, who stopped all 21 shots that came his way to complete the shutout.
