Bulls Win Big On Senior Night

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (LISN) Senior Brendan Landrigan led the Smithtown/Hauppauge Bulls (18-1) with four goals and two assists in a 15-0 rout of the West Islip Lions (4-14-1) on Friday night.

Senior Gavin Bareham garnered four assists.

Senior Max Campo added a goal and three assists.

Senior Aidan Halliday recorded a shutout in his 11th win of the season.

Junior Colin Havenec started in goal for the Lions.

Senior Jackson Cantalupo, Junior Brayden Beltrani, Senior Shane Reidy, and Campo scored as the Bulls took a 4-0 lead in the first period.

Cantalupo opened the scoring at 10:10. Beltrani struck at 2:13 to make it 2-0. Reidy extended the lead at 1:06, and Campo made it 4-0 at 0:40.

Brendan Landrigan, Senior David Wetzel, Senior R.J. Pfister, and Sophomore John Avlonitis added to the lead in the second period, with Landrigan completing a natural hat trick as the Bulls extended their lead to 11-0.

Brendan Landrigan scored at 14:51, 14:20, and 13:11. Wetzel made it 7-0 at 9:12. Pfister extended the lead at 6:46, and Avlonitis struck at 4:51. Brendan Landrigan added his fourth goal at 1:22.

Sophomore Aidan Landrigan, Brendan Landrigan, and D’Allessandro capped off the scoring in the third period as the Bulls closed out the 15-0 win.

Aidan Landrigan netted his first at 12:31 and struck again at 7:45. Brendan Landrigan tallied his fourth goal at 6:50, and D’Allessandro finished the scoring at 1:40.

Upcoming Schedule

The Northport/Huntington Tigers (7-11-0) will face off against the West Islip Lions (4-14-1) on Wednesday, February 5, at 7:50 PM. In their previous meetings, Northport/Huntington won 4-1 in November and 7-5 in September. The Lions need to defeat the Tigers for a chance at a playoff spot. The Lions would also need the Middle Country Cougars to defeat the Ward Melville Patriots in regulation.

The Smithtown/ Hauppauge Bulls (18-1-0) will take on the Connetquot/ Sayville T-Birds (5-14-0) on Thursday, February 7, at 10:10 PM. The Bulls are heavily favored, having won their previous two matchups 10-2 in November and 7-2 in September.
