Bulls Take Knights Down 4-1
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Senior Jackson Cantalupo scored the game-winning goal on the power play to lead the Smithtown/Hauppauge Bulls (17-1-0) to a 4-1 victory over the Kings Park/Commack Knights (13-5-0) on Monday night.
Senior Brendan Landrigan scored once in a two point outing.
Senior Aidan Halliday backstopped the Bulls to his 10th win in 11 starts.
Senior Jayson Krauthamer started his 9th game in goal for the Knights
Senior Jesse Lemza opened the scoring at 14:44 of the 1st period with his 26th goal of the season.
Senior Max Campo tied the game with his 17th goal of the season at 8:35 of the 1st period.
The Knights were assessed a five-minute major penalty for fighting in the 2nd period that led to the Bulls taking the lead.
Cantalupo scored his 20th goal of the season, a power play goal and the eventual game-winner, at 2:51 of the 2nd period.
