Bulls Bring The Boom

HAUPPAUGE N.Y. (LISN) – Senior Jackson Cantalupo scored four times as the Smithtown-Hauppauge Bulls (7-1) cruised to a 10-1 victory over the Northport-Huntington Tigers (3-5).

Sophomore Aidan Landrigan scored twice for Smithtown-Hauppauge

Junior Jack Pring picked up his second career varsity win against the Tigers. 

Junior Brett Kostor started in goal. Kostor was relieved by Junior Boden Rudloff at the start of the 2nd period. 

Senior Ray Sherwood scored his third of the season on a slap shot from the right point with 13:22 left in the 1st period. 

Cantalupo sniped top shelf for his first of the night with 11:58 remaining in opening frame. 

Four minutes later Cantalupo scored his second of the game on a shot from the slot. 

Sophomore Aidan Landrigan sniped short side high on for his first of the night with 3:46 to go in the 1st period.

Cantalupo scored a breakaway goal to complete the hat-trick with 63 seconds left in the first frame. 

Senior David Wetzel sniped top shelf to score his second of the season with 9:51 remaining in the 2nd period. 

Junior Patrick Schmidt went bar down for his second of the year with 8:32 remaining in the 1st period to put the Tigers on the board.

Senior Michael Wagner redirected one past Rudloff his third of the season with 6:00 to go in the 2nd period.

Cantalupo netted his 14th goal of the campaign with 4:12 remaining in the 2nd period. 

72 seconds later Sophomore John Avlonitis potted his second of the season to make it 9-1

Aidan Landrigan scored on a breakaway for his fifth of the season with 9:40 left in the 3rd period.

Upcoming Schedule

The Northport-Huntington Tigers (3-5) look to snap a four game skid against the undefeated St. Anthony’s Friars (8-0) on Wednesday November 13 at 9:20 p.m. 

The Smithtown-Hauppauge Bulls (7-1) face off against the Kings Park-Commack Knights (6-1) on Monday November 11 at 9.20 p.m. The winner will move into sole possession of second place in the league.
