BETHPAGE, NY-The Bellmore-Merrick Bulldogs defeated the Syosset Braves 5-1 on Tuesday night to remain undefeated at 4-0. Syosset suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 3-1.

Both these teams are first and second in the Conference I Standings.

The first period was scoreless but Sean Keene broke the ice just 1:02 into the second period. James Pelini made a great centering feed to Keene who buried the puck, giving the Bulldogs the lead.

3:42 into the second period Jourdan Luskoff scored on a rebound to make it 2-0. This goal was the eventual game-winner.

Jackson Jaszczak completed a three-goal second period for the Bulldogs as he took a long shot, got his own rebound and slid it home for the 3-0 lead.

3:39 into the third Nicholas Drogan ripped a shot on a 2-on-1 to make it 4-0 for Bellmore Merrick.

Gino Tokarskiy scored his third goal of the season just under a minute later to get Syosset on the board, making it 4-1. That’s all the offense the Braves could register in this one.

Luskoff scored his second of the game on the power play in the final minute, to move the score to 5-1 and close out the Bulldogs win.

Joseph Braglia was the winning goaltender for Bellmore-Merrick making 16 saves on 17 shots.
