2024 SCHSHL Top 5 Goalies

Each week LISN runs the numbers through our AI Analytics program in order to analyze each team’s performance to date. Our model is designed to evaluate player performance based on the quality of competition, goals against by period, high danger saves and a multitude of other factors tracked by LISN.

1st T.J. Ulmschneider – St. Anthony’s 

Starts: 11 | Wins: 6 | Loss: 4 | Ties: | GAA: 2:19 | Shutouts: 3

The St. Anthony’s starter leads the league in games started this year. Ulmschneider has given up just eight goals in his last five outings, but half of them came in a 4-2 loss to the Knights on November 27th. Since then the Friars goaltender has given up four goals in four straight wins with two shutouts during that stretch. Ulmschneider is one of three goaltenders tied for the league lead as in shutouts with three. 

2nd Jayson Krauthamer – Kings Park Commack

Starts: 10 | Wins: 7 | Losses: 2 | Ties: 1 | GAA: 1.80 | Shutouts: 3

The KPC goaltender has allowed just six goals against in his last five during a stretch in which the Knights have gone 3-1-0-1. Krauthamer has posted two shutouts in his last three games with three total on the season.

3rd Brody Dickson – East Islip 

Starts: 9 | Wins: 6 | Losses: 1 | Ties: 2 | GAA: 2.78 | Shutouts: 3

The EI netminder has three shutouts in his last five games while allowing just six goals against during that stretch. Five of those goals against came in a loss to St. Anthony’s while the other came after Dickson started the second stanza of an eventual 5-4 win against Sachem. 

4th Patrick Ryan – Smithtown Hauppauge  

Starts: 8 | Wins: 5 | Losses: 1 | Ties: 3 | GAA: 2.69 | Shutouts: 1

Patrick Ryan has allowed nine goals in his last five games with a record of 3-0-2 during that stretch. The Bulls All-Star is 5-1-3 on the season with a league leading three ties on the campaign. 


5th Michael DiGirolamo – Sachem 

Starts: 10 | Wins: 6 | Losses: 3 | Ties: 1 | GAA: 3.30 | Shutouts: 1

The Sophomore starter has won two of his last three starts with his lone loss coming with Thomas Konkowski out of the lineup against St. Anthony’s. Look for Sachem to lean on DiGirolamo down the stretch as the playoff race heats up.
