St. Anthony’s Defeats Ward Melville 6-1
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (LISN) — Senior Vito Sacino scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the St. Anthony’s Friars (14-0-0-0) defeated the Ward Melville Patriots (4-9-0-1) 6-1 to stay perfect on the season.
Senior Will Bisogno added two assists for the Friars. Senior Ryan Leon scored a power-pay marker.
Senior Dom Feiler earned his sixth win in as many starts for St. Anthony’s.
Junior Max Blasberg made his fifth start for Ward Melville.
Junior Tommy Azzariti opened the scoring for St. Anthony’s at 10:17 of the 1st period.
Sacino struck just 14 seconds later to make it 2-0 St. Anthony’s.
Leon extended the lead with his fourth goal of the year on the power play at 8:28 in the opening stanza.
