Knights Win Bout Against Friars
Jesse Lemza scored the game winning goal with 6:06 remaining in the second frame. Jayson Krauthammer picked up his fifth win in six starts for the Knights. T.J. Ulmschneider was stellar in his seventh start for the Friars. The Kings Park Commack Knights defeated the St. Anthony’s Friars by a final score of 4-2. The Knights moved to 8-1-1 on the campaign. St. Anthony’s drops to 5-5 on the season.
Jesse Lemza opened the scoring with a power play goal for the Friars. Tyler Granelli picked up the primary assist. Granelli made a beautiful cross ice feed to the cutting KPC goal scorer. The Friars tried to fire back, but Jayson Krauthammer kept KPC up by one after fifteen minutes.
Midway through the second period, Brian Prange forced a turnover at the Knights blue line. Prange came in four on one and lit the lamp to give KPC a two goal lead. Less than two minutes later, Jesse Lemza scored the eventual game winning goal. In the final minutes of the second frame, Zackary Sirel scored off a rebound to cut the lead to two. The rebound goal came off of a shot from Louis Cutalo IV after a face off win by Brady Monteleone.
The Friars came out flying to start the 3rd period. Less than three minutes into the frame, Gerard Nealon made it a one goal game. The goal came after Brady Monteleone won the face off forward before finding a wide open Nealon in the slot. In the final minute of regulation, Stefan Hludzinski scored an empty net goal to seal the deal for KPC.

The Kings Park Commack Knights will take on the Ward Melville Patriots on Wednesday, November 29th at 7:50 PM. The Knights won their first meeting against the Patriots by a score of 4-2.
St. Anthony’s Friars
The St. Anthony’s Friars will face off with the East Islip Chiefs on Monday, December 4th at 9:40 PM. The Chiefs won 8-6 in their first matchup against the Friars.
