Arran Elderslie B Edges Wallace 4-3 in Tournament Thriller at Tara Community Centre

Arran Elderslie B captured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Wallace in NYIHSHL tournament action Saturday night at Tara Community Centre Rink #1, with the game-winning goal coming at 6:02 of the third period. The back-and-forth contest saw neither team able to build more than a two-goal lead as both squads traded momentum throughout the evening.

The pivotal moment came early in the final frame when Arran Elderslie B found the back of the net for what would prove to be the decisive marker. Wallace had rallied to tie the game 3-3 just over three minutes later on a goal by Alton Stirling at 9:41, but couldn’t find the equalizer despite sustained pressure in the closing minutes.

Liam Gowan orchestrated the Arran Elderslie B offensive attack with a dominant four-assist performance, setting up teammates throughout the night and proving to be the catalyst for his team’s balanced scoring approach. Lucas Nickel, Hannah Hammell, and Max Hatten each contributed a goal and an assist, while Rory Gowan added a single tally in the victory.

For Wallace, Stirling led the charge with a two-goal effort in the losing cause, while Seth Siebring netted the other Wallace marker. Despite the loss, Wallace showed resilience by answering each Arran Elderslie B goal and keeping the contest competitive until the final buzzer. The tournament atmosphere at Tara Community Centre provided an electric backdrop for a contest that lived up to its high-stakes billing, with both teams leaving everything on the ice in pursuit of advancement.
