HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., (LISN) – Kevin Lysohir scored five goals and added three assists to lead Sachem (12-5-0) to a 15-2 victory over West Islip (3-13-1) on Monday.
Sachem erupted for 10 goals in the 1st period, highlighted by Lysohir scoring four times and assisting on two others. Caiden Marcus added two goals, including the game-winner, while Nyckie Ress, James Drago, Joseph Wandling, and Cameron Kalberer each contributed to the dominant opening frame.
West Islip managed two goals in the 2nd period from James Johnson and Ciaran Pollard, but Sachem continued its strong play with goals from Chase Saunders and Justin Horrmann.
The 3rd period saw Sachem finish strong, with Lysohir assisting on goals by Peyton Wilson and Christian Pena, while Saunders added his second goal of the game.
Scott Loeb started in goal for Sachem, while Tyler Sapoff was in net for West Islip.
