Bulls Charge Past Lions

Brendan Landrigan scored the eventual game winning goal as the Smithtown Hauppauge Bulls defeated the West Islip Lions by a final score of 8-0. The Bulls moved to 6-4-2 on the season. The Lions dropped to 3-9 on the campaign. Aidan Halliday posted his second consecutive shutout in his third win of the campaign for the Smithtown Hauppauge Bulls. Tyler Sapoff made his sixth start of the season for the West Islip Lions.  

With 9:40 remaining in the first frame, Brendan Landrigan gave the Smithtown Hauppauge Bulls a 1-0 lead. The Bulls jumped out to a 3-0 lead after Shane Reidy scored two goals in a span of under three minutes. The Smithtown Hauppauge Bulls led by three goals after fifteen minutes of regulation. 

Jackson Cantalupo put the Bulls up 4-0 with 9:50 remaining in the second stanza.  The Captain, Bobby Trites, scored his first goal since returning from an injury sustained against KPC. Max Campo put the Bulls up 6-0 with 4:57 remaining in the 2nd period. The Bulls led 6-0 after two periods.  Victor D’Errico scored with 3:34 remaining in the final frame. Bobby Trites scored  his second of the game to make it 8-0 with 1:48 remaining in regulation.
