Brian Li scored twice and North Park Hockey 14U Silver – Pala outscored the LI Sharks 14U Silver – Manno 3-0 in the third period for a 7-3 win Saturday at City Ice Pavilion. The LIAHL 14U Silver victory avenged a loss to the Sharks one week earlier.
The teams were tied 2-2 after the first period. North Park outscored the Sharks 2-1 in the second to take a 4-3 lead into the third. North Park then added three unanswered goals in the final period.
Li’s two goals led a balanced attack, with six different North Park players scoring. Jacob Platt, Theodore Beil, Franklin Giordano, Loic Sarmazian and Graham Howard each had a goal. Lexington Baruch was assessed four penalty minutes, and Sarmazian added two.
Jeremy Kabinoff scored twice for the Sharks, and Jake Goldstein had the other goal. Kabinoff was also charged with two penalty minutes.
The result reversed the Sept. 12 meeting, when the Sharks beat North Park 5-3 at home. North Park earned its first win of the season and improved to 1-1-0-0, while the Sharks took their first loss and fell to 1-1-0-0. Both teams now have one win apiece in the season series as they look to build on their early-season results.
