Antonio Napolitano and Eric Li each recorded hat tricks as Half Hollow Hills MS overwhelmed Oceanside MS 12-6 in a goal-fest at Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center on Saturday. The contest featured 18 total goals, with Napolitano and Jason Castellano each tallying five points to power the Hawks’ offensive explosion.

Half Hollow Hills MS (11-4) seized control early, taking a 3-1 first-period lead behind goals from Napolitano, Marcus Gronlie and Owen Brengel. The Hawks’ balanced attack proved too much for Oceanside (4-10), as eight different players found the scoresheet in the decisive victory. Napolitano opened the scoring at 13:44 of the first period with assists from Jordyn Kreiner, setting the tone for his dominant performance.

The second period belonged entirely to Half Hollow Hills MS, as they outscored Oceanside 4-1 to build a commanding 7-2 advantage. Castellano, Li, Spencer Goldblatt and Napolitano all found the net during the frame, with Napolitano’s goal at 1:47 standing as the eventual game-winner. Spencer Fox managed Oceanside’s lone response in the period, scoring with just 11 seconds remaining to provide a brief spark for the struggling squad.

Despite Oceanside’s best efforts in a wild third period that saw nine combined goals, Half Hollow Hills MS maintained their advantage throughout. Li completed his hat trick with two third-period tallies, while Napolitano capped his five-point night by securing his hat trick at 14:52. Fox led Oceanside’s offensive charge with two goals and an assist, while Stephen Laton and John Carey each contributed a goal and assist in the losing effort.

The Hawks’ goaltending tandem of Logan Galvez and Billy Dramisiotis combined for 12 saves on 18 shots, with Dramisiotis posting an impressive .857 save percentage after entering the game.
