Tommy Condon scored four goals and added an assist to finish with five points, leading the Steamfitters to a 9-1 rout of NYPD 113th Precinct on Saturday at Northwell Health Ice Center. Condon opened the scoring at 13:10 of the first period and struck again at 9:35 to give Steamfitters an early cushion, part of a first period that also saw Kevin Wright score off a Patty Condon assist.
Steamfitters pulled away in the second period, outscoring NYPD 3-1 in the frame. Dylan Kirsch and Tommy Condon each scored, with Condon’s third goal of the game coming on a feed from Kenny Wright, and Luke Reilly capped the period with a goal just eight seconds before the buzzer, assisted by Willie Shields. NYPD’s lone response came from Vinny Petraglia, who scored unassisted at 8:33 for the club’s only goal of the game.
Condon completed his hat trick in the third period, scoring unassisted at 11:52 after setting up Casey Bartels for a goal earlier in the frame. Kenny Wright added his second point of the game with a goal of his own at 10:21, closing out the scoring. Evan Castellan chipped in two assists on the night, while goaltender Jerry Gioia allowed just one goal in the win.
The victory pushes Steamfitters to 2-0 on the season, while NYPD 113th Precinct falls to 0-2. Condon’s five-point performance, coming off a two-goal outing in his previous game, has him off to a hot start early in the campaign. Steamfitters will look to keep the momentum going in their next outing.
